Full Bahar Azadi Gold Coin (Old Design)
The Full Bahar Azadi gold coin, also known as the old design coin, is the first official gold coin of the Islamic Republic of Iran, minted by Bank Melli Iran from 1979 to 1991. Designed and issued to commemorate the victory of the Islamic Revolution, this coin remains notable in the gold market due to its unique design and historical value.

Coin Design
One side of the coin features the Imam Reza shrine, with the phrase "First Bahar Azadi" above and the minting year below. From 1980 onwards, the word "First" was removed from the inscription.
The reverse side displays the name "Ali" written three times in a decorative style within a hexagon, with "Bank Melli Iran" inscribed below.
Difference from Imami Coin (New Design)
The Imami coin has been minted by the Central Bank of Iran since 1991, featuring a portrait of Imam Khomeini on one side and the Imam Reza shrine on the other. While both coins share similar weight and purity, the Imami coin typically commands a higher price due to greater demand.
